All Dungeons

Runs should start with a blank file in slots 1, 2, and 3, as all files are used during the run.

It is helpful to watch a top run on the leaderboard for reference when learning, as this route document can only go into so much detail.

Playing on German (PAL) is optimal for this route; see language rankings.

Ordon

Faron Province

Collect as many miscellaneous rupees as possible from now through Goron Mines. Rupee count in route will reflect minimum guaranteed/reasonably expected.

  • Bug on Coro's house
  • Bugs inside Coro's house
  • Dig under gate, kill bugs, enter loading zone after sound effect (leave tears)

  • Bugs on right wall (leave tears)
  • Bugs in tree trunk
  • Ignore bugs that dig

Getting to Eldin Vessel

Eldin Twilight

Eldin Twilight in 1 trip is optimal. For notes on Eldin Twilight in 2 trips, see Addenda at the end of this page.

  • Enter graveyard
    • Transform wolf after rolling out of the water in the spring
    • Can call Midna to learn to climb tree for safety
  • Graveyard bug (transform human and collect tear)

  • Early Cannon
  • Talk to Midna about cannon and say 'Yes'
🠋 Warp Kakariko from outside the cannon's Z prompt range
    • Dash canceling and dashing straight towards the Malo Mart crawlspace (up the slope a little) is almost exactly the same speed as dashing around the slope
  • Malo Mart bug
  • 2 hotel bugs and yellow rupee behind bookcase while waiting on tear (28R+)
  • Abandoned house bug with RNG rupees in boxes while waiting on tear (30R+)
  • Barnes' Shop bug
  • Bomb House Skip, collect 3 tears
  • Watchtower bug with blue rupee and RNG rupees in pots while waiting on tear (37R+)
  • DMT bug

Forest Temple

  • Early Monkeys
    • Save on File 3 (if using save prompt buffer BiT in the following step, this is built in)
    • BiT behind load zone (save prompt buffer method is fastest)
    • Perform BiTE and load File 2 (South Faron) to spawn in the King Bulblin fight
    • Set Early Boss Fights (EBF)
    • Note that EBF will remain set after Ook and will be reused on Diababa later. EBF will not remain set if the console is powered off or if Link voids in the outdoor room in Forest Temple where the monkey chain is.
  • Load File 3 (Forest Temple; no previous saves will be reused from here on)
  • Kill one or both walltulas with deku baba nuts
    • Alternatively, try to climb past one or both walltulas (requires good RNG)
  • Light torches
  • Cross over monkey chain to Ook
  • Ook
  • Boomerang
  • Savewarp
    • [Lantern / Boomerang]
  • Boss Key
  • Cross outdoor area and bridge room
  • LJA to the boss door
  • Diababa
    🠋 Heart Container
    • This is not required. This route recommends getting:
    • - Diababa HC for safety in Snowpeak Ruins
    • - Blizzeta HC because it's common to leave Snowpeak Ruins on low health and want to take damage in Goron Mines immediately afterward
    • - Morpheel HC to avoid entering Palace on only 2 hearts after taking 3 hearts of damage during Argorok and leaving City; this is often done with the Argorok HC, but using the Morpheel HC also works and means having more health for Arbiter's Grounds and Temple of Time
  • Exit Forest Temple

Getting to Clawshot

Lanayru Twilight

  • Kargarok Skip with Iron Boots
  • Faster Kargarok flight
  • Zora's Domain warp portal

  • Ladder Freezard Cancel and enter boss key room
  • Boss key
    • Avoid blue rupee text if possible
    • Red rupee from chilfos if available

    • If planning to deathwarp after Death Sword Skip, do not get heart container; otherwise, it can be a good idea
  • Exit Snowpeak Ruins

    • Get hit by stalkin (0.5 hearts)
  • Small Key
  • Torch room
    • [Clawshot / Boomerang] between lighting torch and door to automatically put lantern away
  • Poe door cutscene
  • Poe gate clip (77R+)
  • Boss key early (autoroll method) (don't get boss key yet)
    • Get blue rupee in the skull if needed - want 80R+ before warping the sky cannon, but sometimes can get some for free on the way to Temple of Time
  • Backwards spinner room as wolf
    • Human is slightly slower for this category in isolation; however, the human option means refilling bombs after Death Sword, which means having one extra bomb for the remainder of the run. This bomb could be used at the Mirror Chamber portal for a net timesave, or it could be kept as a spare in case of wasted bombs later on.
  • Get bomb chest on lowest level (15 WB)
  • Triple Stalfos Skip
    🠋Skip or fight Death Sword
    • Skipping Death Sword and deathwarping is 18s faster than killing Death Sword and exiting the room (comparison)

    • Die to Death Sword if low on bombs or high on health

Addenda

2-Trip Eldin

Completing Eldin Twilight in 1 trip means getting the boomerang after Eldin Twilight, which makes the more beginner-friendly Bomb House Skip as human impossible. An alternative route completes Eldin Twilight in 2 trips, which allows for human Bomb House Skip and is slower only by about 1 second:

  • In Eldin Twilight, after saying 'Yes' to Midna at the cannon in the sanctuary basement, warp North Faron
  • Ending Blow through Zora's Domain warp portal as described in the route above
  • After Zora's Domain warp portal, warp Kakariko and finish Eldin Twilight (from Malo Mart bug onward)
  • After Eldin Vessel complete, warp Death Mountain and routes merge (⮤ return to route)

Alternative Snowpeak Ruins route

After clawshotting up from the early HP chest:

Damage routing

In preparation for deathwarping after Death Sword Skip, the damage route specified above is:

  • 4 hearts after Lanayru Twilight
  • 3 hearts after Snowpeak messenger skip
  • 2.5 hearts after freezard skip
  • 2.25 hearts after exiting Darkhammer
  • 1.75 hearts after the first room in Goron Mines
  • 1.25 hearts after Morpheel (damage from one water bomb)
  • 0.75 hearts after getting hit by moldorm in desert
  • 0.5 hearts after getting hit by stalkin in first room of Arbiter's Grounds

However, since this plan spans about 50 minutes of the run, it's easy to accidentally take additional damage, so it's a good idea to adjust this route to fit your preferences. A damage route that is much easier to manage is:

  • 5 hearts after Morpheel (get Heart Container)
  • 4 hearts after jumping down from Auru's tower without autorolling
  • 3.5 hearts after getting hit by a moldorm in the desert, or by taking damage in or after Bulblin Camp for safety
  • 0.5 hearts after getting hit by King Bulblin 3 once (JA + autospin, ccw spin x1, cw spin x2, get hit, rollstab from standstill)

Some other damage and health sources that may intentionally or unintentionally be involved are:

  • SPR chilfos (0.25)
  • Blizzeta (1; hearts from minifreezards during phase 1, from icicles in phase 2)
  • Heart pots after SPR
  • Goron Mines bulblins before tektite room (0.25)
  • Goron Mines beamos after bow (0.25)
  • Morpheel additional water bombs (0.5 each)
  • Baba after MDH (0.5)
  • Auru's tower jump without autoroll (1)
  • Bulblin Camp enemies (0.5 per hit as wolf)
  • Bubble after poe gate skip (0.5 per hit as wolf)
  • Stalfos after poe gate skip (1 per hit as wolf)
  • Death Sword (1 per hit as wolf)

Arbiter's Grounds route without poe gate skip

After the poe gate cutscene:

  • Enter left room
  • Poe 1 Skip (7 WB)
    • Do not throw bomb if it will put bomb count below 5
  • LJA to the door
    • [Lantern / Ball & Chain]
  • Stalfos with Ball & Chain
    • Can use bomb + boomerang instead if it will not put bomb count below 5
  • Light front and left torches
  • Poe 4
  • Poe Scent
    • If you forget the poe scent and realize in the next room, void out to respawn at the poe 4 room exit; if you realize later than that, kill poe 1 in the main room for the poe scent
  • Leave room
  • Jump to the other side using chandelier
  • Push the large metal box 4 times and open red rupee chest (65R)
    • Only open red rupee chest if 3 red rupees will be needed to reach 300R
  • Main room
  • Pull chain, enter downstairs door
  • Small Key
  • Redead 1 (92R+)
    • [Clawshot / Ball & Chain] (or equip Water Bombs over Ball & Chain if using bombs for triple stalfos before Death Sword)

  • Enter left room
  • Climb the destroyed stairs past the large metal box
  • Cross upper floor of main room on chandelier
