Any% NMG
This is currently the optimal route. However, it is not recommended for beginners because it is tight on explosives and calls for tough tricks like the Snowhead owl HESS. Instead:
- The intermediate route is similar to the optimal route but omits the toughest tricks, and it gets more bombchus to allow for easier variants of other tricks. It still includes some tricks that require practice, such as Swamp Gossips AE and Woodfall Boss Key Skip. This route is something like 1-2 minutes slower than the optimal route.
- The beginner route is still not too dissimilar to the optimal route, but it omits several more of the difficult tricks and is designed for explosive count never to become an issue. This route is something like 5-10 minutes slower than the optimal route.
This route is for English Wii VC. The object of this category is to beat the game without using SRM, ACE, or Text Overflow.
This route makes ample use of bomb tricks such as hovers, HESSes, long jumps, and megaflips, so you may want to familiarize yourself with those techniques first via the links under "Techniques" on the left sidebar. Some setups also use these fundamental movement techniques.any glitchless

If you have made this mistake, then before entering Great Bay Temple, go upstairs in Zora Hall, talk to the Zora who wants a pictograph of Lulu, and try to give him the Deku Mask instead.

Tatl text timer
It is important to keep track of the Tatl text timer between New Wave Bossa Nova and Goht because the text must be used for action swap on Goht. Once the ocarina has been overwritten by dumping the first egg in the tank, Tatl text will always appear 30 seconds after each area load. The Tatl text will stay available for 2 minutes after that and then disappear. If Link enters a new area before the Tatl text disappears (i.e. within 2.5 minutes of entering the previous area), then the Tatl text will reappear in the next area with the same timings. However, if Link ever stays in one area for 2.5 minutes and the Tatl text disappears, it will not start reappearing in new areas until after a game over. This is most relevant during Lullaby Skip and within Snowhead Temple, where mistakes can lead to staying in an area for too long and losing the Tatl text, so:
- If the Tatl text disappears during Lullaby Skip, game over after entering Snowhead Temple.
- If the Tatl text disappears between entering Snowhead Temple and entering Goht's room, game over and make your way back to Goht's room.
