Defeat Ganon (Classic Kak) (Sword)

This is a route-locked category, meaning it follows a strict route and set of allowed techniques. It emulates the Any% route prior to the discovery of GIM on February 5, 2015, defeating Ganon as Child Link using the Ganondoor wrong warp. The route and glitch requirements can be referenced on Speedrun.com as always.

This is the fastest Kokiri Sword route. It is not the optimal swordless route, but it is also not the most recommended route for beginners. For other routes, see:

Any version can be used for this category. The Chinese iQue Player version is technically the fastest but has fallen almost entirely out of use, with the current world record being on Japanese Wii VC.

Escape

• Exit Link's house, turn up and backflip off balcony

  • If you for some reason do Mido Skip here, do it unbuffered and instead equip Deku Shield along with stick and nuts later in Deku Tree
• Kill Deku Baba for a Deku Stick

Gohma & Wrong Warp

• Deku Stick jumpslash into the fight, for power crouch stabbing
• Gohma Clip unbuffered
  • If you fail the clip and want to continue, Double K.O.
• Kill Gohma behind wall [4n]
  • Possible to use a second Deku Nut on the kill for safety
• Exit and re-enter Gohma's room
• Ganondoor wrong warp [2n]

Collapse

• Exit the doorway in front
  • Do not burn shield during collapse
• Watch Ganondorf death cutscene
• Instaclip void warp collapse skip
  • Backup for failing instaclip: void warp setup from barred door
• Jumpslash and movement to loading zone in unloaded tower
• Roll continuously past Redead in last room
• Backwalk movement through last stairway
• Kiss
• Tower collapse cutscene
  
  
• Store a Deku Stick jumpslash into Ganon
• Navi ISG immediately when Ganon fight starts
  • If you fail ISG, run away to avoid dying and try again.
  • The flame wall around the Ganon fight will burn your Deku Shield.
