The BLSS (Bow Lift Smuggle Slide) is a movement glitch discovered in 2021 (First Clip : https://x.com/i/status/1434177818775089164). It’s now used in many categories, but how do you activate and use it?
You can use the BLSS with any object that can be wearable, but keep in mind that each object has its own characteristics! The most well-known ones are:
The glitch is divided into two parts: activation and usage.

To perform a slide, simply walk onto a ledge where Link would step up while holding B. It’s important to hold B the entire time you’re doing a BLSS. To gain speed, flick the stick left and right (you’ll gain speed in whatever direction Link’s back is facing). If you let the joystick return to neutral for more than 1 frame, Link will fall out of the BLSS.

The Zero BLSS is a special type of BLSS. it’s a BLSS without arrows! It’s very difficult to control and extremely unstable, so it’s rarely, if ever, used in speedruns for that reason. The setup is similar, but we just don’t have any arrows!
To start sliding, simply walk onto a ledge where Link would step up while holding B. It’s important to hold B the entire time you’re doing a BLSS, BUT there’s another factor: you need Link to step up with his left foot first! Otherwise, you’ll stay in place! To gain speed and steer, you’ll have to try it yourself. it’s very unique and hard to explain.
