All Fairy Rewards NMG
JP Wii VC is the optimal version for this category. AFR requires obtaining from source all 61 stray fairies, Magic, Great Fairy Mask, Great Spin, Double Magic, Double Defense, and Great Fairy Sword, then beating Majora.
This category makes ample use of bomb tricks such as hovers, weirdshots, HESSes, superslides, long jumps, and megaflips, so you may want to familiarize yourself with those techniques first via the links under "Techniques" on the left sidebar. Some setups also use these fundamental movement techniques.
Equips are notated as (e.g.)
where the location in red text refers to the map point set for the next Index Warp, and the item in parentheses shows which slot the item before it is equipped over (here, ocarina is equipped on the bow slot). Bomb, bombchu, and rupee counts are notated as [b, c, r] where relevant. See Common Terms and Abbreviations for other acronyms.
First cycle
- Watch Clock Town cutscene
- Enter ECT and take flower to inn upper door
- Listen to Granny's overnight story twice (bottom text option) to advance to Day 3
- Go to WCT (via SCT)
- Enter trading post and speak to scarecrow (bottom text option) to advance to Night 3
- Go to ECT (via SCT)
- Use flower to catch stray fairy
- Backwalk past guard to TF
- Collect 90r+ from bushes
- Enter NCT and get magic from fairy fountain
- Go to WCT (via SCT) and deposit 90r in the bank
- Go to SCT and gainer or twisted backflip to Clock Tower door
- Enter Clock Tower after midnight cutscene
- Shoot Skull Kid with a bubble
- Pick up Ocarina of Time and learn SoT
- Play SoT in Clock Tower and console reset after pressing A to confirm (top text option)
- Load file and enter lower Clock Tower doors
- Speak to Happy Mask Salesman to get Deku Mask and learn SoH
- Exit Clock Tower
Sonata of Awakening
This route does not use bank clip because it's probably not fast. It has not been timed.
- Go to ECT and get 100r chest
- Go to WCT (via SCT) and enter bomb shop
- Buy bomb bag and 10 chus [20b, 10c]
- Hidden Owl hover [18b, 1c]
- Store SoDT [18b, 0c]
- Withdraw 90r from the bank
- Activate SoDT while entering bomb shop (top text option)
- This route is possible without playing ISoT at all, but play ISoT at some point if needed for it to still be Night 1 when getting the hookshot
- Buy 20 chus [18b, 20c, 10r]
- Exit to TF with recoil flip past guard or by talking to guard [17b, 20c, 10r]
Goron Mask
- Exit Deku Palace
- Ledge popup and learn Song of Soaring
- Reverse big octo skip [10b, 14c, 10r]
- Head to potion shop dock as Deku (blue rupee along the way) [10b, 14c, 15r]
- HESS to WoM [9b, 14c, 15r]
- HESS through WoM (Day 1) [8b, 14c, 15r]
- Talk to Koume and exit WoM
- Enter potion shop and talk to Kotake for bottle with red potion
- Soar to Mountain Village
- Superslide to Twin Islands [7b, 14c, 15r]
- Traverse Twin Islands to Goron Village
- Superslide to owl area and jump blindly to Lens cave (Day 1) [6b, 14c, 15r]
- Throw bomb at rock on left, refill on bombs, get Lens of Truth, and open 50r chest [20b, 14c, 65r]
Zora Mask and Hookshot
- Soar to CT
- Goron roll to ECT
- Collect stray fairy with goron pound
- Roll to NCT and enter fairy fountain
- Great Fairy Cutscene Skip for Great Fairy Mask [19b, 14c, 65r]
- Soar to Great Bay Coast
- Recoil flip and superswim to Mikau (Day 1) [18b, 14c, 65r]
- Mikau walking cutscene skip [16b, 14c, 65r]
- Play SoH for Zora Mask
- Goron roll to north shore
- Zora swim to PF entrance
- Zora swim and roll to goron switch on west side
- Hover and megaflip into PF [13b, 14c, 65r]
- Goron roll to lower hookshot room door
- Zora long jump to tank
- Hit beehive with Deku bubble [12b, 14c, 65r]
- Get Zora egg from tank
- Get hookshot from chest
Woodfall Temple
- Soar to Woodfall
- Get deku stick from pot
- Play Sonata to raise WFT and use flower to enter
- Transform human
- Put on Great Fairy Mask (GFM) and hookshot to chest on right for fairies 1 & 2
- Jump down and hookshot up to torch by door, then enter central room
- Jump down and break pots for bombs and fairy 3 [17b, 14c, 65r]
- Hookshot to torch and jump to platform to enter east wing
- Hookshot beehive on left for fairy 4, then hookshot to chest below for small key
- After collecting fairy, void in water as goron
- To avoid softlocking, either run into the water without curling or roll into the water without releasing A until respawning
- Goron roll to dinofols door
- Dinofols as Goron for Hero's Bow
- Goron roll back to central room
- If needed, get bomb drop from pots again

- Action swap with bow to skip torch puzzle
- Enter north door
- Put on GFM and use bow and bow extension for fairies 5-8
- Return to central room
- Long jump to switch by torch while collecting fairy 9 in bubble [16b, 14c, 65r]
- Jump down and kill baba for fairy 10 (avoid nut drop)
- Roll up ramp and get fairy 11 from chest
- Recoil flip to locked door and enter west wing [15b, 14c, 65r]
- Throw bomb for underwater fairy bubble and shoot beehive and skulltula for fairies 12-14
- Weirdshot to skip burning web and go upstairs [14b, 14c, 65r]
- Light three torches and kill all boes for fairy 15 in chest
- Go through door
- Jumpslash recoil down to first floor
- If needed, get bomb drop from pots again
- Go upstairs
- Boss key skip (4b4c) [10b, 10c, 65r]
- Odolwa with Kokiri sword
- Pick up remains normally and Heart Container if desired for safety
- Learn Oath to Order and watch Tatl apology cutscene
Getting to Snowhead Temple
Snowhead Temple
- Block skip (no action swap)
- Get bombs from icicle if needed; ideally have 4+ bombs here, but only 1 explosive is required for bombable wall
- Enter right door to bridge room
- Put on GFM, bomb first fairy bubble, hookshot to crate, and use hookshot on second fairy bubble for fairies 1 & 2 [3b, 0c, 65r]
- Take stairs to map room for fairy 3
- Weirdshot to chest for fairy 4 [2b, 0c, 65r]
- Goron roll to door to central room
- Roll across bridge to Wizzrobe
- Wizzrobe as Goron for the Fire Arrow
- Exit room and transform human
- Drop down one floor to melt ice on freezard room door
- Freezard room with fire arrows and hookshot for fairy 5
- Return to central room and go next door to block puzzle room
- Pull block twice for small key
- Finish puzzle and hookshot to fairy 6 in chest
- Cross blocks to bombable wall room
- Melt ice with fire arrow and step on switch
- Hookshot torch for fairy 7 in chest
- Put on GFM and carry bomb into corner to blow up wall and get fairy 8 from crate [1b, 0c, 65r]
- Take stairs to snowball room
- Bomb snowball and hookshot up for small key [0b, 0c, 65r]
- Get blue rupee from small snowball by chest if under 69r [0b, 0c, 69r+]
- Hookshot chest in hidden alcove for fairy 9 in chest
- Go through small key door and get bombs from pots [20b, 0c, 69r+]
- Reload room to fill bomb bag
- Put on GFM, hookshot fairy bubble through false ceiling, hookshot crate across room, and wait for fairy 10 by door
- Enter central room and long jump to the left bridge segment [19b, 0c, 69r+]
- Hookshot torch and enter small key door
- Shoot fire arrows at fairy bubble through false wall and at ice blocking stairs
- Collect fairy 11 and goron roll to stairs
- Kill dinofols with Goron pounds for fairies 12 & 13
- Enter central room and drop to hidden alcove for fairy 14 in chest
- Drop to bottom floor and roll over switch for fairy 15 in chest
- Void in lava as Deku
- Tunnel jump and go upstairs
