Early Kanalet

Description

This trick uses a Zirro to damage boost into Kanalet Castle without needing to build the bridge. Paired with Egg Pattern Manipulation, this allows the trading sequence to be fully skipped.

Tutorial

This trick requires taking 2 hearts of damage. For safety, it is recommended to have at least 3 hearts so that you do not Game Over if you fail. This trick is retry-friendly as there is a lot of grass to cut to regain health.

1. Lure the Zirro into a corner next to the spot that we want to damage boost into. The Zirro will always move up-right as it tries to go back to its "home" area.
2. Make sure that the Zirro spits out a bomb as its last action before continuing. This is not needed once you get better at this trick.
3. Jump into the corner from above and slash up-right. This will force the Zirro to move down-left.
4. As Link respawns from drowning, hold down-right and mash Feather. Before drowning, slash up-left.
5. As Link respawns from drowning, hold down until Link climbs the ladder. Jump, slash, and grab the ladder before hitting the water.
6. The Zirro should spit out a bomb. This delays its movement to give us time. Climb up the ladder into position (see video). Wait for the Zirro to start moving again.
7. Jump left, then switch to down-left when Link is centered with the blue flowers above him. If done correctly, the damage boost will just barely be enough to make it past the water.
