Regardless of which category you plan on running, it is a good idea to check out Egg Pattern Manipulation on information about setting up a speedrun-ready file
Beat the game as fast as possible, anything goes. Unfortunately for this game, that requires hitting several frame perfect tricks, one of which is also RNG-based, as well as navigating invisible collision. Only recommended for experienced runners. Here is a route that you can follow along
This is the most popular glitched category. It retains the overall structure of Any% while banning the hardest and most inconsistent tricks, resulting in a much more enjoyable and consistent run. Here is a route that you can follow along
A great category for bridging the gap between glitchless and glitched gameplay. Bans some of the harder tricks and requires entering dungeons from the front entrance to preserve a somewhat more natural flow of the game. Currently, no written route exists, but you can check out a run on the leaderboard
You can never go wrong with learning glitchless. Mostly movement based, with a few difficult tricks you can implement for speed, but aren't necessary. Here is a route that you can follow along
100% is a great category for huge fans of the game or for people who love longer runs. We have both glitched and glitchless 100% runs. Glitched gets very difficulty at the end, while glitchless is about 40 minutes longer. Currently, no written route exists, but you can check out a run on the leaderboard
We have several fun categories on the category extensions leaderboard. If you want a run that's less than 20 minutes or maybe just an additional challenge, try these out!
